Our Story

Contrary to what most think, the word tapas actually means “to cover”. Rooted as a tradition in Spanish culture, socializing patrons of restaurants would cover their wine glasses with small plates to protect their beverages from insects and small pests while outdoors. At Savor, we pay homage to this ritual in our own unique way.

The urban and chic atmosphere invites locals to step outside Amarillo for an evening and into another place entirely. With an urban, speakeasy vibe, Savor welcomes its patrons to sit comfortably at the bar or in a cozy booth next to the floor to ceiling windows.

About Rory

Rory is a culinary powerhouse whose passion and creativity have made her a standout in the Texas Panhandle’s culinary and hospitality scene. She has collaborated with top chefs, appeared on national platforms like the Today show, Rachael Ray, Dr. Oz, and was a finalist on Food Network’s Food Network Star. Currently, she serves as a proud brand ambassador for Certified Angus Beef.

As the founder and CEO of Forking Good Hospitality and Catering, Rory has built a remarkable portfolio of restaurants, including The Drunken Oyster, Savor Tapas Bar, The Western Horseman Club, Cowboy Pizza Co. and FGH Consulting. Her creative vision and leadership earned her the Rising Star Award from the Texas Restaurant Association in 2023.

With new concepts always on the horizon, Rory continues to deliver exceptional dining experiences while cementing her legacy as a driving force in the culinary world.
